The Computer Systems Laboratory (CSL) is the largest research laboratory in the Technion’s faculty of Computer Science and Technion computer engineering center (TCE), comprised of 10 faculty members and about 50 graduate students. CSL exclusively focuses on experimental, practical, and applicable research related to computer systems, targeting contemporary and emerging computing environments such as computational clouds and large data centers. CSL conducts cutting edge research in computer architecture, operating systems, compilers and programming language tools, runtime systems, parallel and distributed systems, wireless and mobile systems, system security, storage, virtualization, high-availability and fault-tolerance, data-mining, high-performance computing, and super-computing. CSL regularly collaborates with high-tech companies such as EMC, France Telecom, IBM, Intel, Mellanox, Microsoft, and Oracle.
